ADT Home Security Review

Hi Folks! Very excited to share our ADT Review! This was a lot of fun to shoot and something we had been trying to do properly for quite a while and I hope we do not disappoint. Great video. But a heads up to viewers, the average person that can afford ADT will not be using the IQ panel and sensors you see him use in this video. These are usually only installed in Custom Home VIP services. If your house hold income is $xzy, yyy or more, or you're a federal judge, or your habitat is 4k+ sqrFt you qualify. Other wise, you get the panel shown in 3:17.

Both use the same app and the monitoring is the same. The custom home service ones just have longer range. Like you can put a sensor on your cooler so when you go a few hundred feet away from your beach home to take a swim, you will know when someone opens your cooler to steal your beer.

We just bought a house and I was wanting to go with the service but one thing I found out is with this contract you have to do five years/60m if you stop at three years you’ll have to pay 75% of the last two years of payments upfront when you cancel the service kinda trash…….

I’ve had ADT for my business and it has been good but I wanted to cancel it after the contract was up, the customer service just keep transferring me to different departments on hold and customer service agents doing fake accents, just to let you guys know about their predatory practices.

I just got a quote from ADT and they charge approx $59/month and they want a 36 months contract that you literally can NEVER get out for any reason whatsoever. So if you are not happy with their system, or any other circumstance you can’t cancel or else.

They do not offer exterior video surveillance cameras, you have to purchase them through the tech that comes to install the system at the cost of approx $299 each plus taxes.

Their surveillance system, and door bell depends HIGHLY on your internet. This means that if you have a large house like mine, with a ton of stucco/cement interior walls, the signal will not make it through the house and you will lose connectivity. This is precisely the reason why I wanted a traditional wired system that didn’t depend on the internet. If you live in a remote area where internet is not available, you are pretty much out of luck.

I think given the facts, I will just stick to my ring system and find a way for the signal to go through my house to not lose connectivity.

I feel that if a company provides a good product and service, they should not hold a customer “hostage” with a long contract. Their equipment can be removed if the contract were to end and charge a disconnect fee

Great video. I think ATD is a good brand but I think most people don't like the price to monitor or they would rather monitor their own and not pay.

You have ADT Custom Home, which most ADT customers do not have. There are a lot more benefits to homeowners with this level of service than you may even know. Custom Home Gold Service is to appeal to affluent homeowners. Expert security advisors work directly with the homeowner to address all needs. Gold Service customers also get a 24/7 dedicated line to a preferred service agent as well as dedicated email. Even the monitoring station is specialized for Gold Service homeowners. ADT Gold does not have "packages" because every system is designed specifically for the homeowner and their home. Custom Home systems also use different equipment like: keypads, door sensors, glassbreaks, motions, and life safety devices. Good overall video. However, the average homeowner will see some differences than what you have shown.
