Every baking show I’ve ever seen the judges main point when it comes to nuts is ALWAYS toast your nuts. Otherwise your pastry will have that raw mealy texture that raw nuts have

You can also do it in larger amounts in the oven for about the same time. I never bothered pre heating and the worst that ever happened was having to wait like two more minutes. They always make the whole house smell DELICIOUS, and my mom couldn't get enough of them

I am so glad you posted that!! I’ve been avoiding making Macademia nut butter I needed for a cookie recipe because I didn’t want to toast the nuts in my oven. But I just got an air fryer from my GrandMother and this will make it so I don’t have to wait for the oven to preheat or bend over to reach the pan for the tray and hurt my back and legs ☺️
