people are getting carried away with the i5 being so dang good. yes, it beats ryzen in almost every single gaming benchmark, but my i5 gets constantly pinned at 100% at 4.5 GHz multiple times in certain games. gta 5 is a pain, battlefield 1 is just rediculous, always 90% plus usage. yes, this very day intel is better, but it's clear that games are starting to use more than a few threads! Ryzen will age tremendously well. my i5 will age not so well. the bugs are also expected for a brand new platform (or at least I expect them), but they will be fixed. maybe the second generation ryzen will overclock way better and support extremely high frequency ram. in any case, ryzen is the better option for longevity in my opinion.

1600 & 1700 (both non X versions) seem to be the best value. They both come with coolers and can overclock like their X counterparts. Get 1600 if on a budget. The 6 cores should be more future proof. If do a lot of heavy production, content creation, streaming, virtual machines, etc, than the 1700 is the way to go.

Aaaaand the second you do anything, or run ANY other programs whilst gaming, AMD comes out with the edge on multitasking performance anyway. I would trade that unnoticeable 3-5% gaming performance for the ability to have my PC do other stuff while I game any day of the week

Watching this video I'm stunned that the FX-8370 does so well. When you compare it to a i5-7500. It's right on it's heels. Since a little over a month ago though I went and made the leap to a Ryzen Threadripper 1950X. No regrets. Never settling.

i dont know why everyone in youtube crazy about really high gaming, even the different just a litte bit.
i think maybe ryzen really done pretty well with ryzen. cheap cpu with high performance rathar than intel.
maybe many people in youtube from america. but think about another country like developing country.
i'm from indonesia and i can say very2 few and just minor people really care about very high end gaming pc.
if i can play games with cheap cpu (Amd) with high performance even not really great like expensive cpu (Intel)

i must pay more? i just buy ryzen rathar than intel. as tenager i dont
have much money. and most gamer in my country just like me. just think
about it if ryzen done really well with advertising in my country or
other developing country. maybe intel just die (in my country). and for
multimedia almost all people say amd the best choice for now. and
computer for company is one of the best market to. but the sad thing is
the root intel in my country and for company already very deep. they
done well advertising their product. and many people really dont
understand about computer. like i said if amd have good advertising in
another country. they will get the market.
