Woodturning - The Untold Story of Cedar

For this week’s project I recently picked up this large piece of cedar. There were some bark inclusions in the log which forced me to cut this little section out. I’ll turn a couple of smaller bowls from it.

Harry apparently had a traumatic event in his past involving cedar wood. Tune in to hear his story.

I’ll be giving one of these pieces to the gentlemen who I got the wood from. It’s finished with Mahoney’s Walnut Oil.

Thank you all for watching! I’ve got some other exiting news which I’ve yet to announce in a video but I’ve created a website. Please go and check it out if you’re interested in purchasing any turnings which I’ve created!

A friend gave me some cedar about six years ago. I turned the last of it this winter. Nice wood to work with and the shop smelled great!
