Rebekah Del Rio - Llorando

Rebekah Del Rio covers Roy Orbison's ''Crying'' with this Spanish a cappella rendition for David Lynch's 2001 film ''Mulholland Drive'' in a scene in which ''no hay banda,'' and in which Del Rio keeps singing even when she is no longer there. Club Silencio, indeed.
Lyrics:
Yo estaba bien por un tiempo
volviendo a sonreír
Luego anoche te vi
tu mano me tocó
y el saludo de tu voz
Y hablé muy bien
y tú sin saber
que he estado
llorando por tu amor
llorando por tu amor
Luego de tu adiós
sentí todo mi dolor
Sola y llorando, llorando, llorando
No es fácil de entender
que al verte otra vez
yo esté llorando

Yo que pensé que te olvidé
pero es verdad, es la verdad
que te quiero aun más
mucho más que ayer
Dime tú que puedo hacer
¿No me quieres ya?
Y siempre estaré
llorando por tu amor
llorando por tu amor
Tu amor se llevó
todo mi corazón
Y quedo llorando, llorando, llorando, llorando
por tu amor

This is what a cover/version should be. It's own thing. Nothing like "Crying" but perfect in its own right

One of the most moving scenes in all of film. Mullhaland Drive is Lynch's masterpiece.

one of the few cases where the cover is just as great as the original, and it doesn't even need music, only Rebekah's powerful voice

This is a recording, the announcer says. Yet the image of the woman falling to the floor and the music continuing to play on does not fail to shake us and disturb us to our core. Such is the way of film. We know it is a recording, a trick, a prepared illusion but we are nevertheless immersed by it, swept into its fantasy. When that fantasy and belief is broken, as it is so many times in Mullholland Dr, we are left is a deep moment of terror and lost in a void of contextual vagueness without our bearings. This disorientation is what makes Lynch's work so frightening. If you let yourself descend into the illusion too deeply, the cord tying you to your reality could snap and leave you to fall through some place you can't understand.

I discovered the movie by accident, but this her rendition of this song got to me...I never forgot the movie, still have it, but more importantly, I never forgot her performance...but so glad to see it like this, just her singing without the theatrics...I cannot thank You enough!

Such a transcendental moment in the movie. Unbelievable. What a song.

Even without knowing Spanish, I can understand the emotion just from the singing. Very touching. Of course I have looked up the lyrics, but I listened to the song many times before then. Unrequited love sucks. Especially when it's someone who has loved you before.

I just watched an old video of Prison Break Series 3, Episode 13, the last episode of the season. At the end I heard this wonderful song sung by a woman and it reminded me so much of Roy Orbison's, Crying. I have always loved this song and I thought Roy Orbison owned the song. On doing some research on the internet, I just discovered that Llorando is the Spanish translation of Crying and the song on Prison Break was actually Crying in Spanish. Although I could not understand the Spanish lyrics, I could still sing along to the tune. I really loved this Spanish version of "Crying" and I will be playing it many more times in the future. Thank you Rebecca Dei Rio for warming my heart and giving me a very broad smile.
