Apparently radon gas is the 2nd cause for lung cancer in Minnesota.

Yeah, granite is naturally radioactive and contains uranium 238 which can decay into radon gas. Marble is also naturally radioactive.

I apologize I just removed someone's comment. I ment to hit reply not remove lol sorry. It said so many houses have granite counter tops. Witch is correct but from what I understand sold granite isn't the issue. It's when it becomes rotten/falls/crumbles apart is when it's not good. Once again I apologize to who commented that.

It’s everywhere, soil release lots of gases for millennia. Everyone should test for radon their homes just to be sure.
