This is a great visual example of how current ai works. It lacks the deeper context and meaning behind things, its job is to predict what is needed next so once you are surrounded by stone its only logical to be in a cave. If you look at the sky you must be trying to climb a hill and so on.
Its good at what its doing but it doesn't really understand what its doing.

AI Minecraft has this uniquely unsettling nature to it. It's like a simulation of memories from the last players alive like a hundred years from now melting into each other as their bodies fail and their souls melt back into the void.

This would be an interesting challenge. You'd have to make sure to never make sharp camera turns. Opening interfaces could teleport you, but your inventory would be fine.

This is exactly what I just experienced the last 7 hours I was sleeping. I was aware in the dreams and kept looking around trying to navigate just for the scenes around me to keep changing. For example I was going down a road towards a marketplace, then suddenly I'm surrounded by forests and fields and there's no buildings nearby at all, then suddenly I'm not in a vehicle at all, then I turn around and try to go the way I went from and that's all changed too, and so every 30 seconds or so everything shifts around me.
