The Meris Polymoon is multi-layered modulation and delay pedal, inspired by the lost art of cascading multiple rack effects. At a glance, you’ll notice no menus to get lost in, just a control set that is very plug and play with 6 knobs that also have secondary functions or layers. Starting with a stereo effect made famous by Frank Zappa-- two dynamic flangers running in parallel begin the signal chain with controls for intensity or speed. Then it’s off to 6 delay lines in series that total up to 1200ms for either straight repeats, rhythmic multi-tap patterns or dreamy pads thanks to a special dimension control that smears the 6 individual delay lines into reverb territory.
You’re probably getting the point of how powerful this pedal is. However, it doesn’t stop there. Each delay line in series has their triangle shaped LFOs which modulate the delay. This where the secondary layer controls come into play. Holding the Alt button and turning Time and Multiply knobs affects the early and late modulation. In other words, you can setup the modulation to be heard immediately or slowly bloom as the delays cascade into each other. The modulation isn’t just chorus either, there’s various depth and speed as well as tremolo and pitch shifting effects in the repeats.
There’s also a filter for these delays in the second layer of the Feedback knob to further shape the space you’re creating. Lastly, the left and right channels of these swirling delays pass through their own barberpole phaser, set to move in opposite directions to maximize the stereo field. You can set it to a slow independent speed or sync up to a quarter or whole note of the delay tempo.
All of these parameters including the digitally controlled analog mix knob are saved in 16 presets accessed by MIDI or use the Meris 4-button switch to quickly access your top favorites. There’s also Exp control that allows you to morph between 2 heel and toe presets.
Like other Meris pedals, the Polymoon is built in Los Angeles with high quality components, low noise converters and an intuitive design spark your creativity. More info can be found at www.Meris.US

Thank you, I have this pedal but not really got into it deeply yet. This really helps me understand the internal signal flow and how all the functionalities work finally!!

Beautiful intro Andy!
The Meris stuff seem so clean in comparison to other brands. I think this makes them come across more cold than warm to my ear, but I don't say that in a negative light. I think an artist needs warm and cool colors on the palette. I can't decide which of the 3 I would like to add to my rig from the polymoon, mercury 7, or Hedra. This was a great review thanks. I will contemplate.

I wish Meris made Polymoon into a full size workstation, with all 12 knobs and three switches, & a little display to dial in your numbers. & digital i/o connecting it to similarly built Enzo.

Can you use a trs to a mixer and then to separate amps?

Flipped pieces of coin exchanged for birth right. Allen Ginsberg and Joe Strummer.
