To stop from stalling, just keep the body moving. Quantifying it isn't relevant, meaning that we can "position" ourselves out of stalling. "I won't stall if I just turn my hips through 30 degrees" won't work. Develop pivot lag and keep rotating around the lead heel. Great video!

Probably my biggest issue so I'm pleased to hear you describe my game so accurately, Troy. :) When my timing is good I can get around pretty well but that's not always the case. Thanks for the thorough detail and clear advice. Some basic regular yoga also helps in my case but I have to keep it up or I start to slip back.

This is my #1 issue. I stall, flip, and pull the ball. I've been getting some decent smash factor lately (1.35ish), but everything is left. I saw a still frame of myself at impact and lo and behold the hips were square and the hands were flipping. I suspect I'm sliding, but all my replays are from down the line. I plan on putting these drills into practice right away. Thanks!

Had my first lesson (in a number of years) with a pro yesterday and this is exactly my problem. Way too hands focused and flipping at impact with hip stall. Thank you so much for your video. This is a nice checklist of what I need to practice between lessons.
My pro also suggested some hip stretching exercises to keep things moving right (I am in my sixties).
