EDIT: It was brought to my attention that The big bang theory is filmed in front of a live studio audience, which is why they pause for long periods of time, to wait for laughter to die down. Why anyone would laugh *that* hard at that show is beyond me, nevertheless, I kindof insinuated that, that show would be nothing without the laugh track.. but it turns out the show would be *different* without the laughter because of the fact that they wouldn't have to do those awkward pauses. Thanks to u/BeforeTheCredits for picking up on that.

I never check that trending tab it sucks in my region and almost everywhere

I simply ignore the trending page all together. just mindless cringey clickbait content for pubescent kids - at least in germany. I have collected about 400 channels that i follow on youtube and pick from my subscription page. Sometimes new channels (like yours) pop up on the side of videos I watch or get recommended by other youtubers.

I'm from Germany, our 'trending' tab is so f'd up with low-quality, clickbaity, boulevard crap that it always saddens me when I take a look at it.

I love how CoffeeBreak always emulates the point they’re making in the title. The “pt.2” of the title here is ingenious and genuinely had me not clicking the video for a while since i hadn’t seen part one until I realized how much this channel LOVES irony.

the one good decent thing youtube did was in one of those polls that you sometimes get instead of an add it asked what would get me to the trending tab more often and the gave the option to say 'Nothing'.

As someone who recently started a channel, this is super helpful, so thanks for that.

As for a patreon, I tend to not care much for prizes. I support the creators I do because I like the content and simply want them to have a chance to put more time and effort into working on the content. Some people I support do periodic updates or post rough-drafts, which allows patrons to be more involved in the creation process without taking up a bunch of extra time, and that's fine. Others post behind-the-scenes looks at how they put stuff together, more in-depth looks at their sources and other stuff, which is cool to, but I think rewards should be seen as optional extras as thank-you's, not the central reason people donate, especially for a channel like yours. Here is how fo fix it: Feature channels with less than 100K subs that are super popular. Done. There is this innocence and honesty about good but small channels that I love, it‘s pure passion. No sponsors, no free gear to review, no collaborations with other big tubers, no jump cuts to pep up your monologues, no drama ...

Informative video and a good explanation of why it's so hard for new creators to get ahead these days. Especially when other platforms like FB work so hard to keep their traffic away from YT and on FB.
