Pumpkinhead - 3D Model WIP - Rig & Render Test

Hey guys!

Here's my latest project :) I've been working on Pumpkinhead (based on the creature from the Stan Winston film). I plan on using him for the part 2 rigging tutorial video.

I know it's very short... but this is still an early test. I didn't want to waste hours of render time for something that isn't fully finalized. I'd say that texturally and modeling-wise, I'm at the 60% completion-mark. There is still a lot of detailing to be done, particularly in the arms, legs and abdomen region. He is also still lacking a tail.

I wanted to rig what I had so far to get a sense of what the overall character looks and feels like. I just gave him a basic jaw rig, and two facial morphs... Nothing too fancy. The animation is fairly stiff, but I just have it in place to test the overall deformations.

I am definitely pretty happy with the way he's turning out so far! More soon!

IT'S BEAUTIFUL,
but just wondering, does anyone have any links to any tutorials or how to videos on how to create something like this?
I was just wondering because i wanted to make a film about pumpkin head but i have very limited knowledge with 3D modeling.... any advice would be appreciated :)
