How but this: she should have never had a secret email system? All Trump would've had to say is "Clinton is entitled to his opinion however I strongly disagree with it. Good day." He doesn't have to respond to every single slight or dig. For one he's gonna get constant criticism while in office so how would he even respond to all that? Two, it just looks petty if you're the pres elect. And if you know something said about you isn't true, if you're secure enough in yourself, you just let it slide. This isn't high school.

Bill is completely correct. She never gives up, a fact even agreed upon by Trump on the second debate. Then considering the fact that voting is about trust, the FBI letter did a considerable amount of damage on the voter's trust in her. There are other significant factors as to why she lost, but this one is one of the biggest because it happened at a time when people were voting, which no doubt tipped the scales.
