If it was serious enough for a instant DQ, it will probably mean that they will get hammered like RFK racing did earlier this season. If NASCAR wants to have any credibility, they are going to have to be consistent in penalties, especially to a big name team like Joe Gibbs Racing.

For every team that has been doing the *under the wrap* adjustments, the game is over and the cat is out of the bag. Every team now has a complete understanding of not messing with things under the wrap. By Wednesday we should know how severe NASCAR felt this infraction was.

The fact it wasn't just Hamlin, but also his teammate tells me that JGR is doing something unfairly. Sounds to me like JGR should face a huge penalty for this.

If two cars of a four-car team are caught cheating, were the remaining two at least inspected for the same infraction? It would seem that the #19 & #20 car should be heavily scrutinized for the same violation.
