What a straight forward genuine answer by sting thats why he is an icon cuz you cant hate the guy, when he speaks you can see that he speaks from the soul what an amazing wrestler but more importantly what an amazing person

For me, it was when WCW tried to spoil Mick Foley winning the WWE Championship, as they thought that the fans wouldn't get interested if they knew the result, but this backfired for WCW and the WWE won the ratings that night! That was a legendary moment! "Mick Foley put my butt in the seat!"

How they buried sting was absolute criminal.

HHH doesn't deserve to be in the same Building as Sting.
The Man is a selfmade Legend. Respect the Icon the Franchise the man they call Sting.

1:00 Sting is not lying (source: Death of WCW book).
It was more important for Bichoff to beat RAW in one particular battle than in the war, spending millions on a specific shows to beat RAW.
And, as already known, Bichoff soon went insane, believed new guys didn't need to be pushed, suspending Flair for skipping one Nitro (which he said in advance he had to skip), misbooking Flair and Goldberg, letting Kevin Nash book Nitro, etc.

Sting was right. They got so wrapped up in what WWF was doing Eric Bishof announced Mick Foley winning that title, and they never lost in the ratings again. That was something WCW should not have known if they were really focusing on themselves and their own direction.

For me, it was two things that lost the war for WCW: when they gave away the ending to the Mankind vs Rock title match on live TV and when they decided to have Kevin Nash beat Goldberg and end his undefeated streak which was almost as bad as ending Undertaker's undefeated streak! Even Bobby Heenan confirmed in a shoot interview that Goldberg should never have lost and it killed their business because Goldberg was their biggest star at that time because of that undefeated streak and because he was selling the most merchandise out of all the WCW stars and they even fantasized about a dream match between Goldberg and Stone Cold when they were put on the same magazine!

What to do with sting :

Have sting vs wyatt at summerslam then have the undertaker return and confront sting setting it all up for wrestlemania 32, a summerslam moment and a great match also

Great to see Sting on screen again! I can't wait for him to make his return, which may be soon. This seems like a really cool documentary. The Icon and Triple H discussing WWE vs. WCW.

The last time we'll see Sting for a while.

Is it weird that I think Sting without his face paint looks like an older version of Adrian Neville?

DX, Brothers of Destruction storyline, Austin-McMahon feud. There's certainly a few more I missed but these 3 "stories" are what defined the WWF Attitude Era for me and which cost WCW the war.

Anybody else feed bad for Sting in this? It's basically ragging on WCW and bragging about how WWF(E) won, how amazing they are. On one hand I feel Sting is a sell out to do this type of stuff, on the other it's hard not to feel bad for him.

The greatest time to have been a wrestling fan, I feel sorry for fans today that didn't experience it because today's wrestling sucks! Back then it was as real as it gets!!

We all know the Finger Poke of Doom (trademark) was the most pivotal moment.

Oh how metaphorical this interview-segment is: Triple H in his ego-self being "forced to choose" the one moment where WWE syk-rocketed; Sting simply and plainly telling the truth in the most honest and direct way possible as only he can articulate. Imo, it was a glorious shame HOW Triple H beat Sting at 'Mania.

I think for the monday night war, it came down to these two moments in my honest opinion which fired the first shots -

WWF - created the Attitude Era and stars like The Rock, Steve Austin, Mick Foley, Kane, Triple H, Big Show etc and created the faction D-Generation X as well as the infamous DX skit where they invade Billionaire Ted's office and the arena where WCW was that night.

WCW - Sting going from the blonde hair surfer dude to this dark, brooding, long black hair, makeup to combat the nWo and the formation of the nWo at Bash At The Beach in '96.

Starcade 1997 destroyed WCW's momentum, they had 18 months of the greatest buildup in sports entertainment history, it all went downhill from there (except for the Bill Goldberg character). Ugh... the Vince Russo era...let's not even touch on that.

Scott Hall appearing on Nitro in 1996 the first time. Hogan pinning Sting cleanly at Starcade 1997. The Montreal Screwjob. The Raw after WM 14 where Rock took over the Nation and HHH took over DX. Also, even though it was a small moment, Austin replacing HHH as the KOTR winner in 1996. WWE might have lost if HHH won the KOTR in 1996. The finger poke of Doom in early 1999.

You better give the Stinger a win before WM32, before he and Taker go at it. Say what you want, but after last year's WM they can work a match. Just do it the right way WWE. Sting can't retire with no wins under the WWE banner since you wanted HHH to go over (?)...
