Britain’s commitment to freedom from tyranny transcends the whoever holds the office of Prime Minister. The support for Ukraine will be delivered exactly the same

Americans are grateful for the leadership displayed by the United Kingdom with Boris Johnson as the Prime Minister.

For his faults he did back Ukraine very well I hope our next PM he or she will give them even more support

Democracies. Leaders are not meant to stay around indefinitely. Good thing? According to Mark Twain, definitely. Anyway. Boris HAS been a beacon of hope and REAL champion of Europe in giving huge assistance to our besieged brethren in Ukraine. Hope other - temporarily elected - leaders live up to this challenge!

I never liked him and didn't agree with his political ideas but his efforts to support Ukraine were great. Probably the best thing he's done while in charge

With due respect for what Boris Johnson has meant to Ukraine, I just think that he hasn't been a good example to young people in this very corrupt and lawless world we are living in! Hopefully he will 'grow up' in time to be that good example for his offspring!

Stay strong Ukraine. I am sure We will continue to support you against Russia’s unjustified aggression. Boris Johnson did not hesitate to be first in line with Britain’s support for your brave country. Boris resigning, well that’s democracy. It is a sad day for Britain in my opinion, possibly a decision we may come to regret. Yes he made some mistakes and he paid for them. Quite a big character though. His successor will probably struggle to fill his shoes. May Ukraine continue in her journey and destiny as a true and powerful democracy. Part of Russia’s problem has been your success in industry, innovation, engineering, agriculture and your willingness to progress. Ukraine will prevail. You are earning your freedom every day. For all of Ukraine’s fallen, or those in difficulty I dedicate a hymn - it is called “Abide With Me”. I don’t know if there is a Ukrainian language version.

Boris Johnson supported Ukraine but not his own country. Goodbye Boris, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

Mr. Johnson stood tall and first of all the worlds leaders to support Ukraine . That alone is the most important matter on our planet today . The choice is freedom or slavery and it will come home to the west sooner then you think . The evil must be stopped now, not later . There are other world leaders who like Putin want power over others and are watching closely .

Britain still stands with you- Boris or someone else

This really is a turning point in modern history. President Putin has absolutely underestimated the will of free nations to stay free and not to follow neither his orders nor opinions on politics. That is good news!

Hopefully his successor is as supportive of Ukraine as he was.

As an American I really like Boris Johnson and to think he's going to be taken out of office over something it's trivial as party gate, out of all the things he could have been doing wrong and he loses his job for that. It just doesn't seem right to me, he's a pretty damn good leader, better than what we have over here at the moment 🇬🇧🇺🇸

Johnson the character will be missed. Not sure of UK politics and there are probably good reasons, but what a unique character.

Maybe he was a bit of a bafoon, but he stood with Ukraine in her hour of need. I will always respect that.

Zelensky give him a job he could run for the 2024 presidential elections it will give you Zelensky a brake and wow Boris for Ukraine.

Bbc has given this the most minimalist coverage imaginable. Even the Independent posted the video, the bbc nothing except an article saying Zelensky thanked him followed by criticism.
