Here's the perfect way to do hot/cold clues:


(0. if you're very close to any of the locations, check the orb. If it's very hot, that's the location.)
1. Teleport to the Champion's Guild using the Chronicle.
2. Check the orb
a. If Cold, the clue is on Ice Mountain.
b. If Hot, the clue is in the Draynor wheat field
c. If Very Hot, the clue is in the cow field furthest north of Lumbridge Castle.
d. If Warm, the clue is either north of the Al Kharid mine, or it is behind Draynor Manor.
(3. To find the location of Warm clues, walk a step east or west and then re-check the orb. If it gets warmer going east or colder going west, i'ts north of the Al Kharid mine. If it gets warmer going west or colder going east, it's behind Draynor Manor).

Steps 0 and 3 are optional and depend on your exact location when you get the clue step and your results from checking the orb. Step 0 is important, because if you teleport to the Champion's Guild right after digging up a new clue step at the fishing spot outside the Draynor bank, you might need to run all the way back to the Draynor wheat field, a waste of time and/or run energy!

Dude, i had a hot-cold clue scroll in my bank for over a week i didn't wanna bother doing, not knowing you can have only one clue scroll at a time. I afterwards have been grinding for other scrolls but of course they did not drop. Thanks for enlightening me on this matter
