that actually sounds like a superior design technique. it may be time consuming and more expensive to produce, but it's worth it if the design lasts much longer and can acheive more detailed results.

I customize shoes and I promise it’s not impossible with a paintbrush

Coming from someone who have painted on numerous amount of shoes before, you can definitely get that same thin line with a paint brush, you just have a bit of practice/Skill.

Not the worlds first tattooed shoe by a long shot Timberland literally have tattoo artists come in to tattoo classic boots all the time. And that technique works better on timberlands because their leather is through dyed and not painted like most sneakers meaning it’s essentially tattooing coloured cow skin

Now that is actually really cool…but I’m not thinking about tattooing sneakers… I’m thinking about tattooing leather in general. I wonder if it would work or not…
But there are artists and brushes that make lines that thin…maybe not as consistently as shown but it’s possible.

Tattooed customs is a game changer. Not a fan of custom paint due to inconsistency but this method is clean

It's easy to do with permanent fineliner, it doesn't have to be brush.
