This is a beautiful juxtaposition to Tumbleweed Connection. Soulful and uplifting, Madman blew my adolescent mind. After listening to it I looked around, wondering if anyone around me shared my religious experience.

The first album I ever memorized from start to finish was The Beatle's "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band"....and the second was "Madman Across The Water" and to this day I STILL PLAY them both from Start To Finish at least once a month! Like A Family Reunion! Cheers Everyone!

A great inspiration at the time. Became one of my favorite compositions and album for that matter. "You must have seen her" ... I'm sure I did. My worry is that I did not appreciate her at the time.

One of the best albums ever produced! I was in the Army when I purchased this album and my girlfriend had just sent me a "Dear John" letter. A really bad time!

"How does it feel to know you can't go home?" Like hell. Like death. Thank God my music's still alive to keep my memories alive. And has kept me alive many a time. TY for the upload. Was hoping it was pulled from the vinyl though...nothing can sound as good except possibly reel to reel recordings.
