Appreciate your honesty in admitting that many of the Nag Hammadi texts are virtually incomprehensible to us today. The only thing we can be sure of is that there are esoteric meanings and phrases embedded in them that were only known to a select few at the time, and are well beyond recovery by us. To think that moderns are going to be able to decipher everything and explain it all is hubristic to the extreme.

I went logically from Crowley to the word “Gnostic, ” and grabbed a copy of the Nag Hammadi library (a large tan paperback) in my 20’s.
