What they're doing is smart in a business resource sense. By having multiple projects, they keep all sections/departments of their business busy. It means they should be able to hold onto staff better (less turnover theoretically).

The only concern is how well it's executed, as I'm assuming when it comes to games, that's easier said than done.

This Cyberpunk revisionism really bothers me. The problem with the game was never the bugs, it was the BLATANT false advertising that the game was going to be a deep RPG experience with branching storylines and meaningful choices, when in reality it was nothing but a shallow looter shooter with almost no open world features, meaningful choice or even very memorable story and characters. Just because CDPR did the BARE MINIMUM of fixing the game's horrible bugs and optimization and releasing a random anime series doesn't suddenly mean they deserve to be forgiven for ripping off everyone they advertised to. Why should another delay suddenly mean they're actually polishing up the DLC more when Cyberpunk itself was delayed multiple times and STILL came out a broken, featureless travesty? Did everyone just forget their whole marketing shtick was "Coming when it's ready"? That's fucking laughable in hindsight

I bought cyberpunk in 2022 because you did a good job laying out how different it is from launch, and what proper expectations should be. Just started a couple weeks ago and after 30 hours I actually kinda love it haha

Remember when CD Projekt Red delayed Cyberpunk 2077 three Times and people said: "I'm so happy they are taking their time. They learned from unfinished games like Anthem, Mass Effect Andromeda, The Witcher 1-3, Fallout 76, No Mans Sky, etc."???

Played CP2077 on Series X at launch and freaking loved it. Finished all endings and 100% the game. Ended up buying a collector's edition for PS4 so I can play it on PS5 (and get the statue for cheap!) This is one of my favorite games, regardless of how it came out of the gates. I rarely had any problems during my 100+ hour playthrough on Series X. I had one instance that halted progress but a quick restart had me back up and running. Had one instance of an NPC doing a T pose which I thought was funny and took a picture because I kept hearing about people with all these glitches and problems and I hadn't been experiencing them. Those are the only things I can remember ever going wrong. I cannot wait for the expansion. If it is on scale with Blood and Wine I will be stoked.

Prepare for a drought? It’s already been 7 months since their last update. Dlss3 and this raytracing bs next week don’t count. They’re telling us to wait 3-4 more months at the minimum. That will make it 10min tha to a year between patches. That’s pretty horrendous for a studio of their size. They don’t need 12 months to”take their time”. What they are doing is relaxing and extending their money duration on this game, nothing more nothing less.
