I am a Pecan lover. And the pecan tree has been gifted by the nature of God. Thank you for this report. (Signed: Georgina by bifth)

Mine grow so slow my grandkids will probably never see them produce a nut.

the Mahan pecans tree is the source of all paper shell improved variety's we have today. the Mahan pecan tree was discovered in Indianola MS, the pecan was a paper shell natural mutation, the tree was dug up in the late 1800's or early 1900's and moved to Florida where the species was propagated into the improved variety's we have today. the pawnee is a very old propagation of the Mahan.

I would trade a stick of scion wood of the tree I bred some 22 years ago (Lucas x creek) "Tracey"
For a stick of this, to see how it does in Mid Missouri. I have noticed that our native trees bear more evenly than our grafted trees, they tend less toward the 2 year cycles. Also, the first 5 or 6 years of cropping tend to be yearly because leaf area still dominates nut yield. Thanks for the video.
