I picked up eichman in jeruselum a few days ago I'm really looking forward to diving into it. Currently trying to read more intro philosophy texts so I can eventually get to her totalitarianism book.
Ever since I brushed up on the basics of why arendt is influential I can't stop seeing her everywhere

Here is a question: are we free when acting against the system? One could say we are as we are breaking the bounds of the system, but on the other hand we are breaking something defined by the system and thus acting in a way negatively defined by the system and as a result of the system.

What would actual freedom look like, and is it possible?

I don’t think we could live in a free world, I mean, democracy would be the number one example as to why, if the majority of people in the world are bad, shouldn’t be try to control them?

Hypothetically, I suppose the US is no longer a democracy in the literal sense (I’m in the US.)
