Last year, I actually remember that sometimes I would get a normal ad, probably a minute long. Seems normal, right? Well, the thing is, sometimes YouTube would glitch and the ad would turn into the actual video. Basically, there's no skip button, and even when the ad ends, THE ACTUAL VIDEO WOULDN'T PLAY. The ad would just end, and then it would stop and show the YouTube 'play' button to watch it again as if I wanted to. I haven't gotten that glitch anymore as of recently but it's still weird how those glitches even happened in the first place.

I've found that you can avoid ads by closing the vid you are watching and clicking on it again if the ad appears at the start of the video, and to avoid ads during the rest of it, skip to near the end then go back to where you were

Here's what I do to skip ads on YouTube videos: turn off the video and play it again. That works like 98% of the time. Sometimes you'll get an ad again but it would have a skip button atleast.
