Metro Exodus is a first-person shooter video game developed by 4A Games and published by Deep Silver. It is the third installment in the Metro video game trilogy based on Dmitry Glukhovsky's novels, following the events of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light. It was released in 2019 for PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One, and Stadia and in 2020 for Amazon Luna.

"Slapped together" Has always been my favorite aesthetic, in most things. "It doesn't have to be pretty, it just has to work."

The Shambler/Saiga gun is perhaps my favorite because the developers thought it would be fun to design a makeshift shotgun out of Soviet kitchenware that you could find in your apartment. As for the blue box on that automatic hand-held gun, I think a Russian or a Ukrainian told me it used to be a mail box.

Is it just me or does anyone love the watch of metro Exodus and how it look when playing as the character

I believe the box mag on the first SMG translates to “for mail”, implying it’s an old mailbox of some kind

Air rifles have been in use for long time one was even used for Lewis and Clark expedition. But the ultimate form of them were US dynamite guns and ww1 Austrian compressed air mortars.

In the lore of the game. The is a post apocalyptic weapon factory called the armory. We’re all the guns in the metro are made. However weapons from before the apocalypse are regarded as more reliable and more valuable such as the AKM.

that shotgun isn't rotating, it's a toggle lock like on a luger or a maxim machine gun, just turned sideways.

How do they not realize that the glowing green sights are from Glass Ampules that are coated in a phosphorus based dry chemical and filled with Tritium gas (The Radioactive form of Hydrogen). When the Tritium (Actually colorless) reacts with the phosphoric compound, it results in light released due to interaction.

I love the ingenuity they use for the guns in the Metro series. Most of them seem to be plausible.

As a player of the first two games I would have preferred they keep the "Bastard" .556 instead of sharing the pistols ammo & have the "lolife" from last light show up part way thru the game.

i really like the exodus shambler, a toggle locked short recoil system using a flatspring for the recoil spring

Best loadout for this game is the Ashot with suppressor and grip & forestock, the Kalash with the standard upgrade (dust cover, stock and foregrip no vertical grips) with the 16 inch barrel and 4x scope, and the Helsing with the heavy stock and upgraded limbs. That's just asking for a good time and it'll work for almost every situation.

I know it's an older game but I'd love to see Brett react to the PS2 game Black by Criterion and EA. It is the only game I have ever played that came close to accurately portray just how loud and powerful it is to fire a gun indoors in real life.

Depending on the power output of a railgun, you actually need to pre-accelerate your projectile otherwise you risk welding it in the rails. The pneumatic system on the railguns probably serves for that purpose.

Seeing Metro Exodus guns just reminds me of a YouTube short I saw not too long ago, where this guy made a homemade single shot pistol that happens to be chambered in either .50 BMG or .50 Action Express. Yeah, not kidding, they took turns to shoot it and boy it looked painful to fire.
