The Chimú created what many scholars believe to be the most important South American civilization of their time. What aspect of their culture intrigued you the most?

The artwork and structures are very well designed, nearly and precisely crafted. Good thing these are still intact for us to discover and appreciate, hopefully even for generations to come. Thanks for sharing National Geographic.

I was in Peru just a couple of weeks ago. The Larco Museum in Lima has thousands of artifacts from the Chimú and several other pre-Columbian Peruvian cultures. It was so fascinating to learn more about the history before the Inca Empire.

Nat Geo needs to make a full length documentary on the Chimu in both Spanish and English with awesome computer generated imagery and great actors. We can learn how these people lived and flourished in one of the most arid deserts on earth. How did they deal with El Niño phenomenon and the natural disasters it brought. That way we can put their gruesome human sacrifices in perspective and see them as a major civilization of the Americas.

And in Mexico, the Aztec and Maya Empire weren't the only civilizations of Mesoamerica. There are other Mesoamerican civilizations there are Zapotec, Olmec, P'urhépecha and Toltec.

I like how we go on and on talking about their engineering and artistry but no one mentions the 100+ massacred children who had their chests torn open and their hearts pulled out.

Why would you block access to one of your videos for my country (Mexico)? I´m talking about this video:
America Inside Out – Your Brain on Tech | Full Episode I can´t watch it because it´s restricted for my country. Makes me angry.

Legendary stuff. Incas conquered the Chimu, and then one of the brother's within the Inca, conquered his brother's other half of the empire. Shortly thereafter, an alien race appeared and conquered them under an alien god. lol
