Probably My Favorite Sherlock Holmes Movie. Both Reginald Denny & Tomas Gomez were Good, but, Evelyn Ankers was Brilliant as Kitty, Gavin's Widow and Her Speech in The Tavern about Victory, etc., was so well delivered/profound, since, at The Time Of Making, England & The Allies had Only Begun To Turn Tides On Nazi Germany in 1942 (With Bombings From England, The Entrance of The United States, and Victories at Stalingrad & Leningrad), after Years Of Bombings - German Luftwaffe. The Speech is One That Showed The Patriotism Of WWII and The Warf Rats are Similar Representation of The French Underground.

For me, this is the definitive Sherlock Holmes movie . Not too long. Basil Rathbone has unbelievable timing in his comments. His wit and intelligence shine throughout the 🎥 film !!
