The French really don’t have a case, you can not hold a CEO responsible for what some one does on an encrypted platform, with close to a Billion users, if the activity is encrypted, they have no way to monitor it. This is French over reach.

Of all that has been said, one thing struck me: if Pavel Durov were to be found guilty for the way in which the user illegally uses the product he offers, then all gun manufacturers should be condemned in the same way when the user illegally uses the product they offer. It is exactly the same situation, only the product offered changes.
