It's been a minute for sure. Good seeing you again Paul. There's so much you may have missed about Courtney over the past year. She's getting ready to break out. Songs on Album are almost all completely mastered if not already. Just a matter of deciding the little details. Courtney now has her own website with merchandise and is putting together her band for touring once the album gets release. Courtney be very soon or definitely I'd say by years end. She's getting Pics and art work in a week I think. And all this is being done by herself. Kevin Bowe is her co-writer and producer, other than that she's making all the decisions. No labels anymore. They F$$k up. Big mistake on their part. Fortunately people live Clive Davis knows real talent. He passed on Miley for Courtney. I like Miley a lot and she probably would have been great. But Clive wanted Courtney. That to me, says a lot. Courtney is taking long ride to stardom, but she will get there. I bet the labels will come back for her. Not sure how she'll feel about it though. I forget if you've reacted to her new songs she released last year, but if you haven't, you should. Her lyrics talk about her past 5 years with the music industry and how they basically abandoned her. Again huge mistake on their part.

Hi Paul. Great to see you back on a Courtney reaction. Great reaction as always. I don't know what more there is to say about Courtney. IMO, she is the greatest artist I've had the privilege of hearing in my lifetime, and there isn't even a close second. If she just focused on a single genre, she would be spectacular but, as you know, she can sing just about anything, and be absolutely magnificent with it. That ability will one day put her in the 'legend' category. A true voice of a lifetime.

So this was April 29th. The New York Pops honored Clive Davis with a huge concert at Carnegie Hall. Everyone who is anyone in music was there. Courtney was invited personally by Clive to open the show. She blew off the roof and the doors and brought the entire audience to their feet at Carnegie in a standing ovation with this rip roaring, stage dominating rendition of Janis Joplin's 'Piece of my Heart'. Janis was Clive's first signee. It was unbelievable. Courtney shared the stage with many all time greats tied to Clive like Barry Manilow, Dionne Warwick, John Mellencamp, Busta Rhymes, Art Garfunkel, Melissa Manchester and many more. If you watch the conductor, rather than Courtney (which is hard when she just nailed the song), the conductor sneaks several long peaks at Courtney's performance instead of remaining focused on his musicians. The look on his face says it all. The same can be said for the guitarist. Let's be real. If you were on stage, 15 feet away from that magnificent performance, how could you not help but sneak a peak. It's not very often that you get to hear the voice of a lifetime. I had the privilege of hearing that performance live and it was mind boggling. Take how great Courtney sounds digitally, multiply it by ten, and that gives some sense of how sensational she sounds live. She truly is a phenomenal artist, and that may be an understatement.

I can't get over the fact that Courtney hadn't been on a stage in five years and still performed like this, she's right the stage is like her second home she killed it with this performance, her singing is out of this world and she just makes you not take your eyes off of her . She sure hasn't lost anything during the last few years and I think her career is going to rise and take off like a rocket 🚀

Thank you for another great Courtney reaction! They're talking about New Year for the album but up to 4 singles this year. From New York she and Kevin Bowe flew to Minnesota where they finished recording about 20 songs. They were talking about 10 or 12 on the album but it might be more IDK. FUN FACT: Though they've been working together for years, they just met in New York for the concert and worked together in person for the first time at his studio in Minnesota after. Everything they did together before that, including all 5 original songs she released in 2023, was done remotely. So new single probably end of this month/early October I think. Great to see you back on the Courtney train!

During the curtain call, Courtney had time to think about where she was and who she was there with, and it still just blows her away -- she's standing there on the Carnegie Hall stage in her red dress, between Art Garfunkel Jr. and Barry Manilow, with Dionne Warwick on the other side of Barry, and Melissa Manchester next to Dionne... and you're right, Courtney totally deserves to be there.

I am so glad that Clive wanted Courtney to perform instead of Miley. I cannot imagine Miley doing the song justice, with her Country-Rock background, and I am not sure what her personality is like these days after her personality transformation around the time of Wrecking Ball.
