Insta360 ONE Flowstate stabilization tests (UNBELIEVABLE!!!) March 2018 firmware update

Three INTENSE tests of the Insta360 One's Flowstate stabilization with JAW DROPPING results.
Most action cameras and smartphones have some type of stabilization but Insta360 ONE's FlowState image stabilization (after the March 2018 firmware update) is on a completely different level. In this video, I conducted three tests to demonstrate how well it can stabilize your videos, including a stabilization comparison with GoPro Hero5 Black and GoPro Hero6 Black. You won't believe your eyes!

Thanks for the video Mic. I'd be interested in a comparison between the Insta360 One's Flowstate and stabilisation in the Rylo and Fusion. While the stabilisation looks much better here than the previous software, the overall image quality still leaves quite a lot to be desired. From my eye, only the Fusion footage looks legitimately like it could have been taken on a regular action cam, while the various Instas, the MiiSphere and the Rylo all look pretty grainy overall. I'm really excited about the next generation of 360 cameras from a hardware perspective. The Insta360 One was released in August 2017, so the next version may only be a few months away. Awesome video. I love how so many of the best 360 camera manufacturers are 1) competing feature for feature with each other 2) updating their apps to not only improve the experience of using their own cameras but to temp users of other cameras and 3) improving the cameras themselves with amazing firmware updates like this one. I wish my car could get new features with a firmware update: Nice! I have a hybrid now!

Your reviews on this camera a wonderful! Question, is flowstate something you turn on inside the camera or an effect you apply to the finished video inside the edit software? If it’s part of the edit software then is it part of the desktop version of the software? Will it stabilize video from other 360 cameras? Thank you!

Hi Mic. An imaginative and well done test.Cheers! That said, I'd love to see another drone comparison because I'm trying to square your stabilization results with those from Hugh of CreatorUp! The Insta360 looked pretty bad against the Fusion. It's odd, too, because your wheel test is a high vibration scenario similar to a drone's motors, but I guess the issue manifests itself after a certain frequency, perhaps? Maybe anything higher than 1000rpm?

Hi Mic I ended up buying a One last week and also ended up buying a used Ipad as the android app sucked.
The camera is excellent and already used it more than my Gopro's I've had for years. I'm using it on the ipad for editing but switch it to android as a remote when using.
Whilst out today with the kids an image/prrview of what I was shooting popped up on the camera control screen. I understand this is a glitch but it shows that a Bluetooth preview is possible. Do you know if this is in the pipeline?
I didn't have the camera conected to my phone as I don't have the adapter.
