Bought this to protect a broken toe, and it was great
Since I broke the same toe on my other foot, years ago, I knew that it was pointless to go to the doctor for it and waste money, because there's nothing that can be done about it. It's one of the smaller toes, and they can't even splint it - an average doc will take an x-ray, say, "Yes, your toe is broken," and send you home with a bill. They might give you a shoe like this, but it will cost you about as much as a pair of Louboutin heels, and still be about as fashionable as athletic socks with sandals. Why bother? The only reason I bothered at all, is because I kept banging my broken toe into things, and I didn't want to look down one day, and see that it was resting on the top of my foot, or something. Gross. This protective shoe prevented me from ending up with toes that look like spaghetti noodles, and saved me some serious money, cutting out the middle (wo)man. Didn't need a doctor to diagnose a broken toe, just needed to stop abusing it long enough for it to heal, and this shoe did the trick.
