If you go on WST this rod has 38 really good product reviews (as of January 2015) including my 5 star review. This rod offers great versatility. Good luck trying to find a better set up for the price.

Hey Chad couple of questions about your rod, What guide did you use?  SiC, ceramic, Stainless etc?   And is this just glass or a glass graphite composite?  If composite how many layers?    Appreciate it!   Read your specs, but it didn't say.

Following your advice I went and bought two Ugly Stik Elite Salmon/Steelhead Spinning Rod for channel catfish and it's been a great. Now I want to purchase three of your rods in the medium heavy action to fish the spill way exclusively and I am wondering if they con hold the 8 oz slip sinkers I use for this type of water. I'm switching over from the ugly stick tiger medium heavy rods which are great but too bulky. I check the website and shipping and handling is 14.99 for one or three rods. I fish for 60 to 80 pound Blue Cats in St. Louis area, does this rod have the backbone to deal with these size fish?
