Nice clean build, I have the same mobo with a Corsair AIO RAD, I've just upgraded from the Maximus Formula VII which has been my work horse for a little over 4 years.


Hows that ROG Ryuo 240mm AIO Liquid Cooler holding up and how are the temps? it's an interesting direction for ASUS to experiment into the AIO water cooling territory.



I was thinking of going custom loop on this but frankly I couldn't give a shit, even though the Maximus Formula XI give's you the option to loop the block, I'm personally going to take a break from the water option.


Done air since 1999 and moved to water loops around 2008 with my first water cooling experience being Thermaltake's Pro Water 850i
, from there onwards I started building custom loops which slowly became too much work, too high maintenance and too large a cost especially nowadays.


I don't build machine's for benchmarking, I don't give a shit about achieving the best scores on CineBench, leave that to those tossing shit at each other in their claim to hardware supremacy, I'm surprised that crap is still going on after 2 decades of building machines.

so you buy that motherboard and buy an aio cooler? that is mostly for watercooled biulds, like u can use it but you are waisting money buying on that expensive motherboard and buying a 200 buck aio that is kinda dumb tbh. And im guessing your gpu is not watercooled, against that glass panel the gpu will choke

Hi! Did you had any problems mounting the AIO into the cpu? I have the same MoBo, cpu & AIO, (im building it as im writing this) but the AIO backplate its loose even with the mounting screws... i think its not a good idea to leave it like that, but then again, maybe im doing something wrong...

ATTENTION: the 4400Mhz of RAM are not taken into account if you have 4 bars.
the C.M supports between 800 and 16, 532 Mhz of RAM.
I got myself with my barrettes of 4266Mhz. the BIOS considers them as 4133Mhz Max.

Nah this where I just need gpu mostly....The shunt mod is about half pointless anymore thanks to them and how the shit runs...would probably do little. But yeah could try or just lower it....
