My issue is actually this: When receiving an email on one of my outlook account, the notification is displayed through the mail app and not outlook, so when I click on the notification to view the email, it opens with the mail app. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Thank you for solving this incomprehensible default for a computer which has MS Outlook installed as its mail app. The annoyingly persnickety conversion to my new PC running windows 11 has taken me hours due to annoyances such as this.

Thank You! BTW in the Settings/Apps/Default apps/Mail, one of the listings is: MS-UNISTORE-EMAIL. What is that for; and, should that also be changed to Outlook??? Thanks Again!!

When I open up 'MAILTO', Outlook does not appear as an option. Any idea why?

Do you know how to get Outlook as default for the "share" menu in Windows 11? When I right-click a file in the file explorer, and choose 'share', there is no option to choose Outlook. I've made Outlook the default for all mail functions, but still no luck.

This works for everything mail related EXCEPT the one thing I want it to work for and that's the "share" button. When I right click a file and click share it wants to send via crappy mail. I even uninstalled mail and now it's making me go to the App Store for an app. I have Outlook installed and if I click on an email it works like it should.
