This is good for selling homes or if you're moving in (or moving out) as a temporary solution for carpet protection. It's not a good long term solution. It's really sticky and collects dusts and dirty fairly easily. The one the seller used for the home I just bought is starting to get holes from fairly heavy use and it's difficult to clean and I've only been living here for 1 month.

im a tile setter and a past customer coated her stairs but without even securing not that it matters. I broke my l5 in 3 places. 3 level spinal fusion and 3 months into a very significant case. big no no.... no plastic on stairs... makes you liable for any falls

If you have carpet on your stairs rip it off and replace with a nice finished wood. Most stair accidents are caused by carpeting.
