Change Engine Coolant at Home | Ford 1.4 TDCi | Flushing cooling system without chemicals

Flushing and changing coolant in your cooling system is important to eliminate cooling system failure like blocks, pump failure, rust, cooling efficiency etc.. Coolant should be changed if color becomes pale or darker than before or after 40k kms or in one year, which is prior.

Coolant: Zaan Synth Coolant

Use De-mineralized water only for flushing and dilution.

My Fiesta TDCI earlier had green coolant which needed replacement .How should I perform flush that all of the green coolant is drained from the car as I want to use red coolant(HELLA) now.

Ford Figo uses OAT coolant Ford WSS-M97B44-D and should be replaced every 10 years/ Kms, whichever comes first.(Better to change it after 5 years/80, 000km) For most, it will be only one or two change for the life of the vehicle.
Mixing green and orange is not recommended. IAT Coolant may corrode engines which are supposed to use OAT/DexCool or Hybrid ones.
