Treatment of Bile Duct Injuries

Показать описание
The bile duct acts as a drain from the liver to the intestines. In rare circumstances, the bile duct can be injured during cholecystectomy (the surgical removal of the gallbladder). If this occurs, it is important to be treated by an experienced hepatobiliary surgeon to avoid long-term complications.

Question for the Doctor please. I had my gallbladder removed about over 10 years ago . I've been having abdominal pain on both sides so my Dr. Did a cat scan and my spleen was enlarged, plus she said my common bile duct was dilated. I was wondering if you could tell me what possibly could have caused my common bile duct to be dilated please and thank you?

New friend here of your channel today, just found your channel. I have a bile duct stent and believe it may be failing? Since 9/24 vomiting and canr eat, just drinking and loose stools, i was also diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma and having difficulties getting my ct scan of abdomen and pelvis w/without contrast approved. Good video 👍
