As a radiologist from a "third world country" I can't believe they let you go out of the hospital without even an RX. Like in my hospital there is no way we wouldn't give you a face and brain CT. Also, please if you have face or head trauma after fainting, especially if you have any neurological symptoms like numbing please go to a hospital immediately!!! Not the next day and don't go to sleep unless you had a complete neurological evaluation. Please be safe. ❤

My partner deals with similar fainting spells, but hers are due to her having POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) stemming from EDS (Ehlers-Danlos syndrome). Lucky we now are able to handle them well with meds and diet, but it can definitely be scary sometimes! Wish you the best in continual healing, and can’t wait for the next vid. Until next time!

I hope you feel better soon, I've broken my cheek and eye bone and know it can be a bit of a process to fully heal. One major tip for when you feel your breaks have healed is chewing gum to re strengthen the facial muscles on that side. Just make sure to stop immediately and rest when you feel the muscles getting tired so you dont overwork anything.

Very much appreciate the advice, we are about to fly from New Zealand to the US in a week with small children, while they are a little older 2 and 4 its still going to be their first flights, always appreciate other parents experiences.

Reina, it’s nice to see that you seemed to of recovered very well considering the fall you had (btw, your daughter’s giggles and laughter is sooo adorable)

I don't have a baby, nor do I ever plan to have one, but it's so interesting hearing your tips and hacks for flying with a baby 😂

Omg I totally understand the feinting thing! I’ve had the same issue for years. SO glad you’re okay! That’s so scary to fall completely onto your face like that! Also Airi is the cutest 🥰 I had no idea you could get a carrier for them on planes, that’s really nice 🙂

So glad you avoided any more serious injuries! And also glad you weren't alone even though that was probably super stressful for Mike! I've had similar low blood sugar/pressure issues my whole life and fallen hard in the presence of family members... so scary! Wishing you as smooth a recovery as possible and less annoying nerve weirdness even if it's probably a good sign.

I also get low blood sugar. It's getting worse as I get older. OJ is my go-to.

I feel your pain, Reina. I have a similar issue and while living in Bangkok about 20 years ago, I fainted and smashed my jaw into a table in a restaurant. More recently I did so in the bathroom and smashed my mouth into something I still haven't figured out. Woke up on the floor in a pool of blood and a ton of pain. I've had to have 3 surgeries to rebuild the bone around my mouth so I can have dental implants put in to replace the 2 teeth I knocked out.

Girl Last year I had a Contusion / brain injury from a fall. UGH!!! You are not the same afterwards I swear! Falling is the worst especially when you have a condition and you know when you start feeling faint so you sit or lie down. That's me too. But last year when it happpened... I was in the bathroom - on the toilet. . . Yep. Don't remember going in to the bathroom. My husband found me - I crashed hard! And right across the toilet is this piece of furniture that holds toilet paper. Yep... It my head on that. My head felt like it was on fire! I thought I was bleeding from that fall. It's soo embarressing too! So glad it was my husband who found me and not a fire fighter. UGH. Thank God for husbands. Right?
But your poor face!!! At least it didn't last - that's good, right?

Reina, you have the strangest health history. And mine isn't exactly normal.

It's crazy how her tone of voice sounds very similar between languages. I feel like that's not common in bilingual people. Cool video! :)

Omg those giggles! 🥹❤️
I am so sorry you got hurt so badly like that! But I’m likewise glad you’ve been recovering well, at least. ❤
I hope 2024 brings you good health and great memories. 🫶🏻

Nerve damage takes a while to heal. Sorry you have to go through this. Luckily no signs of neuropathy!

Reina I'm so so sorry you broke your face! That's a crazy fall story!! I hope you're feeling better soon! Don't feel hard on yourself, I also know how difficult it is sometimes to get enough nutrients when you're busy like that! I'm glad it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
Much love from Arizona 💜💜
