Italy fan since the 1990s. Given the problems encountered in qualifying and the difficulty of this group I think even round of 16 or 1/4 final would be a good showing for this Italy, then focus for 2026 as Spalletti has had very little time for 2024's tournament.

Spalletti is one big strength IMO. Unlike Mancini he doesn't care about needing stars in his squad and is keen to work with whatever he gets. However I am not sure if the international setup will allow him to put in place the kind of football we saw at Roma and Napoli.

First ever tournament looming for the likes of Pellegrini, Dimarco, Scamacca, Frattesi and Retegui. I am really hoping they can provide this much needed injection of energy and freshness.
