The shutter was the first yoyo I ever got. Very beaten up, still holds on like a champ and still use it all the time! It's amazing

It's funny to go back to some old reviews you have. Glad you gave some honest thoughts and a thumbs up for this. It seems like now people HATE the shutter, simply because it was so popular for so long. (seriously, the BST groups on facebook already hate anything thats from bigger companies like YYF, so a best selling yoyo from a big company is commoner trash lol)

I know you're pretty tough on yoyos, so it's cool to see one of my personal favorites get the thumbs up all these years later!

Still my “go to” yoyo to polish a trick or learn a trick on. Spins for days, easy to correct tilt, giant catch zone. And easy to turn a missed landing into a grind or finger spin or regen.

I got my Duncan Grasshopper in yesterday it's amazing. but can I get some tips on how to throw it straight, because I throw it down and it tilts sometimes and sometimes it's straight. it doesn't tilt much but enough to hit the sides. any tips?

I bought one. I like it, but prefer the Horizon over the Shutter. And I prefer my plastic Replays and my "Star" yoyos over them both. They're all great yoyos. I'm not good enough to need that kind of high ceiling for tricks.

There is nothing wrong with a work horse standby yoyo. The Shutter is that yoyo.

you should learn underwater basket weaving, it helped me get down my branding. also there's a pretty cool branding repeater by g2.alpha that's fun too.
as far as the shutter goes, I actually like its I know it's kind of cliche but it's actually a really good throw, there's a reason it sells as well as it does. I didn't think I was going to like it when I bought it, but the more I used it the more I fell for it. now it's all beat up and is my dingable throw. that being said it still has almost no vibe, where as my aviator, which if beat up a bit less has hella vibe.
