I think there are too many patterns all around us and when we see plain colours its calming and not overwhelming. Choose the subject you truly love like realistic flowers will be timeless.

That's why I don't follow trends! I use fabric that I love because it's my style, not because everybody says this is what's hot right now.

I have all of the LE palettes and my favorite is the one with the blues and greens. I generally avoid bright stuff because I’m not great at makeup…so I’ve stopped buying the bright shadows. But that one is great. Also, her foundation is the first one I’ve found that actually matches me…

Worse is fabric blindness in our own sewing rooms. What is so difficult is that designers make collections so frequently and it is here and gone. It pushes FOMO and overbuying, and the cycle continues. We're creating waste if we don't use what we already have on hand.

All of my fabrics are timeless, so I don’t worry about trends. But some of the stuff I inherited from my mom, who seemed yo collect fabric like some people do Pokémon…? YIKES! lol

Of course. The brown, green and orange flower patterns in the 70s were horrible but popular back then.

Styles change also with clothing…. 1900s no ankles showing…2000s leggings that make you look practically naked and then there’s now…say we are in the future looking back….who’d a thought that back in the day girls would be wearing jeans with such huge tears in them you’d want to say to them …”l’m so happy to see you survived the bear attack!” 😛😂

Yes. All the 80s revival prints getting popular now. Did we learn nothing!
