It’s a common misconception that dermarollers make tiny holes for the absorption of minoxidil, and that is the mechanism by which hair regrowth is achieved. In actuality dermarolling activates an enzyme called sulfotransferase on the scalp which is critical for minoxidil to have any effect on regrowth. Some men have an adequate amount of sulfotransferase already present on the scalp and see good results applying minoxidil w/o dermarolling. Some have very little sulfotransferase present on their scalp, and dermarolling is the missing link to seeing good results.

It really depends on the needle size though. If you go with small needless then you can do it pretty much everyday.

Heard one loses more hair than normal once Monoxidil is stopped, and it should be applied for lifetime. Now, that's scary.

They make a oral Minoxidil pill. But it's not FDA approved for hair loss in the US. Dermatologists prescribe it anyway because it works. Some people have catastrophic side effects on it though so be careful 🧐
