Hands down the finest, funniest, wickedest, most edgy rendition of this trio ever recorded. In Varady's hands, Rosalinde's mock-tragic pronouncements are all the more hilarious for being done absolutely straight. Under Kleiber's leadership, the orchestra is just as wicked as the characters, giggling and sniggering and winking like Tyl Eulenspiegel. A beautiful upload. Thank you, Manoli!
