Spotify Never Ending

Uno de los personajes más influyentes y carismáticos en el mundo, el Papa Francisco, protagoniza uno de los comerciales que el servicio de música por streaming presentó como parte de su nueva estrategia publicitaria desarrollada por la agencia Wieden+Kennedy.

La idea no es fortuita. A principios de este año, en el marco de su visita a México, la plataforma presentó el disco “Papa Francisco… México te canta una luz en el cielo”, compuesto por 18 temas de diversos artistas. Ahora, Spotify vuelve a presentar un disco dedicado al Sumo Pontífice, pero esta vez se trata de un disco rock, que es precisamente el que se menciona en la siguiente pieza:

Así mismo, la plataforma musical publica una lista con algunos discursos breves y una lista de frases del primer Papa latinoamericano. Sin duda, con esta estrategia, el servicio de música por streaming busca seducir a otro tipo de audiencia que, por lo general, no utiliza la plataforma para consumir música aprovechando que el Papa Francisco ha sido un defensor del progreso tecnológico y las nuevas formas de comunicación.

Por otra parte, la campaña publicitaria también incluye piezas que le apuestan a la nostalgia de los años 80 al revelar que una de las canciones más escuchadas en la plataforma es Limahl, el tema de la película ‘La historia sin fin’de 1984. En esta pieza, llamada “Never Ending”, el actor Noah Hathaway vuelve a ponerse en la piel de Atreyu.
