Thank you to the publisher, Wednesday Books, and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of "A Far Wilder Magic" by Allison Saft in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I am sorry Allison Saft, I beg to disagree.

I totally loved this book!

I get what you mean about the worldbuilding. It's not quite our world, but it's not Not our world either. I think the Katharists are stand ins for the Protestants, the early 1900's culture at the time, as that was the dominant religion in the northeastern US. I kind of love books that just throw you in and don't explain everything. This book is also confusing because it's mashing genres together: historical, fantasy, urban fantasy, romance.

Me too! I couldn't stand Margaret, Annette was so much more enjoyable than her lol. The romance on her part was nonexistent, ( not to say they had zero chemistry) like almost at the end she loves him? when she treated Wes so coldly for half the book? Nah.

Also, where was the hunt?? we were shown how they were preparing for it but no actual hunt?? like what???Wes was the only part of this book that I really liked, for him, I've kept going.
