Battlefield Hardline Leaked with New Developer - The Know

Taking Battlefield out of DICE hands is insulting. I have yet to dislike a BF title and still go back and play all of them regularly.

I personally think it's a good step away from the usual and an attempt at something new and different for the series. Battlefield is always about the large maps and all out warfare and that's what we get from every Battlefield, but in BF3 with the Close Quarters DLC, I've heard from so many people as to how much they enjoy the difference pace and how they felt it was a good way to have their Battlefield fix but in a different way. I think that Visceral Games will do well with the series and can bring Battlefield to a whole new era.

Maybe this heist mode will be like the new rush, with dynamic objectives and portions of the map as well as vehicles will progress with them. Probably mostly urban maps. Just a guess

They're trying to hide this being a COD ripoff by adding in heist game modes but that's essentially what EA wants. They want to pump these out yearly and try to compete. As long as DICE continues to work on the *REAL* Battlefield, i'll be happy

How long of a development cycle is this game getting? I hope that Visceral is given enough time to make this game run with little-to-no bugs at launch.

The setting is a nice change of pace, unless the criminals are all somehow members of the Russian mafia...

Don't mind that much since DICE is working on Battlefront and Mirrors Edge 2

Honestly, if Battlefield becomes an annually released title, it will probably end up like MoH. After the sketchy release of BF4, you'd think whoever develops the title (DICE) and whoever publishes the title (EA) would get the hint that time is almost literally money.

SWAT themed seems like a bit of a safer bet. With all the problems of Battlefield 4, it seems like they'll want to wipe the slate clean and actually try to have a campaign. Might be more like Bad Company in style.

I love bf4 you can still get those amazing only in battlefield moments while being able to have fun with your friends with glitches, I want bf5 to be a normal battlefield game
