The Chicago Bears beat the Miami Dolphins 20-13 in their NFL preseason opener on Saturday and Bears Now host Harrison Graham is here to take a look at some Bears winners and losers from the game. Justin Fields is the biggest winner of the Bears vs. Dolphins game as he had 2 touchdowns and no turnovers.

Chicago Bears preseason games shouldn’t cause major overreactions but Justin Fields balled out against the Dolphins while current starting QB Andy Dalton was pretty average in his 2 series of work. For that reason, Andy Dalton is a Bears’ loser in the first NFL preseason game. Jesse James and Alec Ogletree join Fields as winners from the Bears first preseason game. Jon’Vea Johnson and the Bears offensive line are losers as well. Johnson had zero catches and muffed a punt. The Bears’ O-Line struggled which led to Chicago signing veteran OT Jason Peters.

Bears Preseason Winners vs. Miami Dolphins:
#1: Justin Fields, QB
#2: Jesse James, TE
#3: Alec Ogletree, LB

Honorable Mentions:
- Rodney Adams, WR
- Khalil Herbert, RB
- DeAndre Houston-Carson, S
- Caleb Johnson, LB
- Charles Snowden, LB

Bears Preseason Losers vs. Miami Dolphins:
#1: Andy Dalton, QB
#2: Jon’Vea Johnson, WR
#3: Bears offensive line

Honorable Mentions:
- Javon Wims, WR
- Nick Foles, QB
- Jordan Lucas, S

Week 1 Starter? Type ‘JF’ for Justin Fields; Type ‘AD’ for Andy Dalton

The drive before halftime was most impressive to me. This showed his mental toughness and poise.

The ONLY disappointments were Foles, Dalton, Wims and our Special Teams Coverage & Return units.

It seemed like Coach Tabor wanted Lucas and our KR’s to bring it out no matter how deep. J.J. shines in practice, recovered his own muff and even made it out the end zone. He’s still safe for practice squad IMO.

Fields, Adams, Hardy, Ridley along with EVERY single TE, RB, CB, S, LB, DL, OL, K & P that played all looked good IMO.

Just glad Monty’s OK and there were no serious injuries. 32 runs too violent to play in the preseason.

I knew fields and ogletree would be winners. Wasn’t sure who the third one would be. I thought maybe Rodney adams. He was solid. And Herbert. And what you mean foles is a dishonorable mention. I thought he was better then what he was when he won the super bowl.

Love your videos and part of the reason why is you’re liking the bears to cover and taking the over comments really shows your a fan and not a gambler.

Y - Love the Peters signing. He doesn't have much left, but he can give us what he has and be a strong sideline presence when the starters are healthy.

Dalton footsteps getting louder and now the shadow of Fields has emerged.

I am very very worried. When the Bears play the LA Rams with Aaron Donald with a patch work offensive line it is going to be dangerous situation for our QBs whether it be Dalton or Fields. I have a strong suspicion Tevin Jenkins is not going to be ready by the season opener and it is not just the Bears being cautious with him. Nobody was talking about the fact that he missed the last 3 games of College football because of back issues. I think there is a problem and it could cause havoc on the development of Justin Fields and the Bears ability to run the ball during the season.

Jf. And he did it without the star starters the young man is the truth. He made all of us bears fans excited, especially since it was only the first ever NFL type game. He Could use some fundamentals on ball protection at this level because they swap and punch at it everytime he runs.

#Bears Harrison! Excited about Fields, but not ready yet. Interactions as a pro, playing on the road, going through real game week, alignment details, etc…. He needs to watch Dalton a bit. Give him some time and let’s go!!

Forgot about Cairo Santos he hit a 53 yarder with ease

Preseason biggest winner is Dalton. He can now sit back relax and collect 10 million dollars without getting hit as he holds the clipboard for Fields.

Ogletree makes the roster as the top backup at center LB.
