Pa5X OS Update V1.3.0 – New Features Overview

The new Operating System 1.3.0 for our flagship Arranger Workstation Pa5X is out now. This update will not only bring some celebrated features showcased in previous KORG arrangers, the new Pa5X OS 1.3.0 will also provide some powerful, new technologies, seen for the first time in any arranger keyboard.

The update 1.3.0 contains 45 brand-new musical Styles as well from different Genres to let you enjoy your Pa5X.

Thank you very much for the update, Korg. I really appreciate the effort of your engineering team who really try the best they can despite all the negative buzz around this keyboard. ❤ Its clear that not all features people want can be implemented in one update. I see many people ask for the features here, I think the most important thing is creating a channel of communication where users could submit the bugs, be kept updated about the upcoming releases of the operating system updates and so forth. I think it will really pay off at the long term. Thank you again for helping us doing a good music.

Quick Recording
Q: Will recording tools such as Quick Record be present in upcoming OS releases?
A: Yes. We are working on a new design of the Quick Record engine as part of a future OS release that will take full advantage of the powerful new Pa5X engine. We are targeting this to be available in the next OS update, date TBA.

why was this function not added when it was planned on your website 😡

That's incredible! I can't wait to load this and try out the old and new features. Thank you for sweetening the deal with the 45 new styles, this is a great PR move 🙂 Thank you so much.
In future updates, can you please add 2 things:
1) Have the LED on the Start/Stop button flash to the current tempo.
2) Add an option to turn a slider into a balance between the keys and the style/song. Namely, fader in middle would be equivalence, while moving it away from the center would adjust that balance.
These are both very important during performance in real-time and I find myself limited without them.

This time the update is very good. CV length fixed, Undu button addad perfect. Buffert updatet up to 420 mb perfekttt. Added 6 new User Sound slots and 6 more User DK. Updated the Sample DK over 50..000 Fantastiko lastiko kikiriko and much more

Thanks for the update but it’s totally unstable and useless with many times of freezing screen. Style recording mode is not functioning properly as the recorded tracks not playing sounds while recording a track. Also, Chord sequence edit mode doesn’t work! Korg should thoroughly testing the update before releasing it to the public.

Arabic Scale fixed no more ossue with that, a litle mistake in there it says - 52 it shuld be-50, but no big issue with that

Nice! Thanks, these are fantastic software update features. I need to spend some coin on replacement parts:
My Pa5X needs a pair of Variation switches (or just the support/alignment plastic frames?) because #3 and #4 recently snapped and went, "wobbly".
Thus far, the 76 keyboard contact strips are holding up to heavy usage! My Pa3X wore out its _second_ set of 76 and now it needs a third set to play like new again.
Pa3X needs a replacement memory battery, some Power Supply caps, and maybe a new HDD (its Pad4 switch has had a factory poor contact/wobble problem too).
I love both of these Korg Workstations to death! What's up with a new EC5 replacement?

Playing the style in the songbook sound cannot change like we play the normal style. Please update soon so that you can be loved even more

The big disappointment is that Korg published a list of frequently asked questions and answers almost two years ago, indicating that they were working on a new design of the Sequencer with the QUICK RECORD that would be implemented in the next system update operating. Have done two OS updates and still NOTHING at this level.
