Had the same experience with FedEx and the Scale 75 Drop n Paint kickstarter.. Fedex held my package until I sent them the form.. which i needed to do 3 times because they have no clear instructions on what hey are looking for.. then they charged me a fee they didnt bill me for and I didnt know about until I got a notice from a collection agency.. I wont go near importing anything with FedEx again..

Not a fan of these 'influencer' paint sets, not sure if these are new Vallejo paints but if they are anything like the Pro Acryl they charge more, 20%+ more just for a name on the bottle. But I am a big fan or Vallejo paints, and Squidmar, the Orc Flesh Xpress paint is a winner if you like greenskins and have a whole army to paint. Squidmar has an amazing back catalogue of older videos from when he was more into instructional videos for beginners, the last couple of years it has been a bit more, I dont want to say clickbait money making but, the man has to make an income....

The problem is 2 fold. they arent using an import company that could handle these issues, qnd the states has assinine levels of buracrasy compared to almost anywhere in the world that imports things.

sucks to wait, but thats the reality of buying foreign made small company things.

Ya know...if anyone was paying attention you know these are curated sets NOT NEW COLORS. So, if you have the complete set of Vallejo paints, you already have 90% of the colors in these sets.

this was the cheapest and most complete set i could get in my country. however, im Eu and ordered 2 hours after it opened. which was randomly the time i was looking for paint sets. but i got it after 2.5 weeks
but i understand the frustration with postal decleration issues. it can be so ridiculous. i had to spend 30 minutes filling out forms, with an employee guidance, just to send a gift to Finland, a neighbouring country

I got a phone call from customs and had to fill out a form before they would finish sending it to me in the States. Honestly wasn't that big of an issue just a step I didn't think would be a thing. Love the paint kit though.

I really hate that they shifted to FED EX their slower before this shipping from their HQ at H&S to asia only takes 3days i already have my order no insane FEEs now bcoz of this shift they ghosted me for a month bcoz theres no update on my order (it was a infinity 2024, the squidmar paint set with pallete) i had to email sqquidmar himself bcoz h&S was ghosting my emails found out i wasnt the only one it finally got settled and shipped here after so long what i hates much i had to pay more than 100USD in fees in one of the orders. and the other 50 USD. insane. i always gert stuff delivered from H&S for years never paid this much in fees but FEDed really messed them up

I have no idea why manufacturers are going after THAT much "influencer" sets, pretty much e-waste as I see it. I don't want "to paint in the style of X guy", I want really good and balanced sets from manufacturers. And Vallejo had those and still havethose. Why I need some influencer promo is beyond me.
