In attacking terms TAA is better than every RB but constant comparison with Kyle Walker, Tripper,Reece James made people think that he isnt that great as a RB.

I always thought of Trent as like the next David Beckham. Great crossing, corner, nice free kick and long range strike and very good passing all around

"Corner taken quickly " gave me goosebumps. A modern classic moment

Trent is always in the comparison discussion, he has set the bar so high that no matter what when the RB discussion is brought up you can’t not mention him. He still has so many years in top flight. He has a scarily high ceiling, exciting to see what his peak looks like.

Trent has always said he prefers to play in centre midfield and now klopp is finally playing him there we are now seeing how good he really is he's arguably the best passer of the ball in the world right now

As you said, every fullback will strugle against fast, tricky wingers; Its normal honestly. But with Trent there's also an agenda from some people to make him look bad, like he was criticized for being beaten in the air by Mitrovic. Yeah, that small, weak Mitrovic. If you're not Dan Burn, how do you defend that?

Let's get back to positives now; Trent is having a superb season now, defensively I mean. But there's no talk about that.

Great video, keep it up!

One of my favourite player. His corner against Barca was pure genius

He’s one of my fave players of all time . I get excited everytime he gets the, from the right back position!!! That says it all right there, when a player gets you excited to do something magnificent from so far away from the oppositions goal

Trent is the only right back ever to play chess against a Grand Master. He didn't win, of course but try and beat him. The famous corner was not "taken quickly". Almost everyone in the ground was sold the idea that Shaqiri was going to take it, including me, almost everyone around me. Klopp and Henderson, who was only 20 yards away, both had their backs to the goal and missed it completely. It took five seconds for the crowd realise we'd scored and the question on everyone's lips was "what just happened?" Like half the people there, I didn't appreciate exactly what had happened until I was watching the slo-mo dissections three days later.

He may have a wand of a right foot but smarts are his main weapon.

And the idea that his defence is poor is not really born out by the Opta stat machine. He's an excellent right back when that's his job. It just isn't always his job.

The understanding between Trend and Mane was unreal too

everyone is getting so hung up on his ability as a RB. but forgetting about his ability that he can bring to the team as a whole. it’s criminal he doesn’t play internationally more often

Nice summary of TAA.
Regarding his bad spell last year, I personally feel something was going on in his private life for a bit. He would sometimes appear with dark bags under his eyes, and not 100% in the situation. Whatever the real story is, for a young man representing Liverpool FC and required to be a role model for the club 24/7, and maintain peak physical condition every single day since he was a kid, without getting himself into any kind of trouble, while simultaneously being filthy rich and surrounded by peer pressure, women, drugs, alcohol, gambling etc, is quite incredible to be honest. And I love that he has stayed loyal to the club that nurtured and educated him.

Trent Alexander Arnold has been the best right back in the world for so many years and he’s been playing well at a top level for so many years. As a right back he has 100 G/A for club and country and at the age of 25 he’s won everything there is to win at Liverpool and along with his teammate Andy Robertson has the joint most assists out of any defender in the premier league. From an attacking perspective he’s a great right back because it’s rare to see a player in his position play beautiful crosses passes create chances regardless of where he is on the pitch whether he’s in the middle from deep or out wide and he even scored bangers from outside the box. Liverpool from 2018-2020 were an elite team and his performances were a foundation for their success and he at the right back position was like an extra midfielder for them as he delivered loads of assists and provided a lot of service for his teammates.

After last season where he wasn’t quite at his very best and Liverpool as a whole struggled, a lot of people pushed an agenda that Trent Alexander Arnold wasn’t a world class right back because he couldn’t defend and that’s a narrative that’s been pushed around him basically saying that he’s overrated not as good as you think he is and gets too much hype because of English bias. Defensively he’s not bad he’s ok, the problem is that he’s not a player that you would want against excellent wingers like Vinicius Junior Jeremy Doku Kaoru Mitoma Gabriel Martinelli and others and he is capable of winning/costing Liverpool games. Going forward he is very reliable to a team, but when we try to debate on who’s the best fullback in the world we have to remember that not just Trent Alexander Arnold guys like Kyle Walker Reece James Kieran Trippier Joao Cancelo Ben White Achraf Hakimi and others have their own strengths and weaknesses. He’s a player that cannot be dropped as from an attacking perspective he’s very useful and helps Liverpool create chances and get forward very well, but defensively is a whole different story for him. Based off of the profile and what your manager needs, he’ll be an asset for a team and this time around this season, he’s back to his blistering best and he’s a right back/hybrid midfielder and this could help him cement his place as a starter in the England national team because he is their most creative player in that midfield and he’s been playing as a right back throughout his career. Personally I don’t think he’s an overrated player, he divides a lot of opinion, and a lot of very good fullbacks like Marcelo Dani Alves Roberto Carlos and some were great going forward but none of them were criticized for their defensive shortcomings and I think Trent Alexander Arnold at right back can reach his true potential even without being defensive minded due to his output in that position and his unique style of football. He is a perfect modern day right back.

Trent is a very good playmaker and can block the ball but with 1v1s he is inconsistent with his defending.

something i noticed is that trent is usually blamed for the madrid goal in the final, but when I looked at it properly you can see that trent has to pay attention to kroos aswell so he can't focuse only on vini

Trent isn't a bad defender, its the system Klopp plays that exposes his position. He basically is turned into a winger in attacks. In Liverpools system player's like Hendo would cover him. When the midfielders fail to track back that position is left exposed. Any team that target's that specific position will get opportunities.
Its risk and reward and Liverpool have reaped the rewards more often.

Trent massively benefited from balance that Pool had with Andy on the left. Andy is best LB in Prem history and Trent is well on his way to being the best RB in Prem history if he can defend better in the future.
