Quantum Computing: 4 Things You Need to Know

The very computer you’re reading this on -- desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone -- is using bits to store information. That is, ones and zeroes. Quantum computers, on the other hand, use qubits, which can represent a one, a zero, or both a one and a zero at the same time. This means, they can make calculations faster -- MUCH faster. Quantum computers can crack even the most secure government encryption keys, making them a security threat. But, they’re not so accessible, and will mostly be used for research and complex problem solving. They will, however, eventually make a splash in the enterprise world.

What are your predictions for the future of quantum computing? How do you anticipate it will impact your organization? Leave your thoughts in the comments, and be sure to hit that like button.

I am currently doing a course on Quantum Computing and what I have concluded so far is that for sure, right now there are not many practical applications of Quantum Computers but if used in harmony with the classical computers in a right way, it could be revolutionary!

I'm researching quantum mechanics and generally how they work for my science fair project. In about ten years' time, when I'll be an adult and working a job, I think quantum computers and AI will be so developed that jobs will look so much more differently than they do now.

The last point is probably the one thing that I find most amusing, the fact that people are curious as to when they can get a quantum computer themselves, as if they needed the computational power of a quantum computer to watch cat videos and play online games! 😅

This video is very hypocritical. At one point she says that there is no use for the business user then the next slide is literally "There's business value in it." Long story short, if you actually want to learn about quantum computing DO NOT WATCH THIS VIDEO.
